Circuito Grande

A circuit of 240 km of travel. We left Bariloche to the northeast, along National Route 237. The route crosses the Ñireco stream and the Ñirihuau river. Then, after reaching the springs in Lake Nahuel Huapi of the Limay River (border of the provinces of Rio Negro and Neuquén), the route will take you across the shores of this river until it reaches its confluence with the Trafúl River. Intermediate stops can be made at Villa Llanquin and the Limay River Amphitheater, as well as in the Enchanted Valley, where you can see strange figures outlined by rock formations.

A few kilometers later, you reach Confluencia and, from there, take Provincial Route 65, made of gravel. You cross the Trafúl River valley, crossing some of its tributaries (the Cuyin Manzano River and the Minero River) until you reach Lake Trafúl, on whose southern coast populated by beautiful coihue forests, is the town of Villa Trafúl. In this destination, you can visit the main pier, explore its picturesque center or approach one of the beautiful waterfalls that form in the Coacó stream and the Blanco stream.

Continuing along the coast of Lake Trafúl to the west, you reach Puerto Arrayán, the waterfall of the Catarata stream and, finally, to Paso Portezuelo, the gateway to the Seven Lakes Way (RN 40). The route continues to the south. After visiting the Correntoso and Espejo lakes, you arrive at Villa La Angostura. There you can visit its picturesque tourist center and take advantage of the varied offer of local cuisine. The return takes place across the isthmus of the Quetrihue Peninsula, taking advantage of its unparalleled views and returning to Bariloche along Route 40.

Bariloche is waiting for you!
